An ecommerce website company in Dubai that builds one thing well

Most ecommerce companies in Dubai will build your store on whatever you ask for — WordPress, Magento, a custom PHP stack, an app-builder. We don't. NKM Studio builds ecommerce websites on Shopify and Shopify Plus only, and that focus is the point: every UAE-specific problem (Arabic checkout, Tabby and Tamara, Cash on Delivery, VAT invoices, Aramex and same-day couriers) has already been solved on our stack, so your budget goes into design and growth instead of re-solving plumbing.

We are a small Dubai studio led by Hooman Bakhtekian. We take on one or two builds at a time, and the person you brief is the person who builds your store.

There are good reasons to pick something else — very complex B2B pricing, an existing ERP that owns the catalogue, or a marketplace model. If that's you, we'll tell you in the first call. For a UAE brand selling its own products, Shopify is almost always the right ecommerce platform. Compare the options in our Shopify in the UAE guide.

On top of the build you pay Shopify's plan (from about AED 107/month billed annually on Basic), apps you choose, and payment processing. We break all of this down in Shopify pricing in the UAE (AED). Every project gets a written fixed quote before work starts.

Our process

  1. Discovery (week 1) — goals, catalogue, competitors, licences and payment readiness. If you don't have an ecommerce licence yet, start with our ecommerce licence guide.
  2. Architecture & design (weeks 2–3) — sitemap, URL plan, wireframes, visual design, signed off before build.
  3. Build (weeks 3–8) — theme, integrations, payments, shipping, content load, QA on real UAE devices.
  4. Launch (week 8–10) — DNS, redirects, Search Console, tracking verified with test orders.
  5. After launch — 30 days of monitoring included; then optional maintenance and support or growth retainers.

What we won't do

We don't sell AED 3,000 template packages, we don't build on WordPress, and we don't lock you in — you own the Shopify store, the theme code and every account from day one.

FAQ.

How much does an ecommerce website cost in Dubai?

A professionally built ecommerce website in Dubai typically costs AED 18,000–35,000 for a customised launch store and AED 35,000–80,000 for a custom bilingual build, plus the platform subscription. Template packages under AED 10,000 exist, but rarely include proper payments, Arabic, SEO or tracking.

Which is the best ecommerce platform in the UAE?

For most UAE brands selling their own products, Shopify — it supports UAE payment gateways, Tabby and Tamara, Cash on Delivery, Arabic storefronts and AED pricing out of the box, with hosting and security included. Salla and Zid are strong in KSA; WooCommerce suits teams that want to self-host.

Do I need a trade licence before building an ecommerce website?

You can build the store without one, but you need a licence that covers ecommerce before you can activate most payment gateways and sell legally. See our ecommerce licence Dubai guide.

How long does it take to build an ecommerce website?

4–6 weeks for a launch store, 6–10 weeks for a custom bilingual build, longer with ERP integrations or Shopify Plus.

Do you build Arabic ecommerce websites?

Yes. We build bilingual English/Arabic stores with proper RTL layouts, translated URLs and hreflang so both languages can rank.

Do you work outside Dubai?

Yes — across the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, RAK) and for GCC brands. Meetings in person in Dubai or remote.
