The data is the easy half. SEO is where migrations fail.

Any tool can copy products from WooCommerce to Shopify. What breaks stores is everything around the data: product URLs that change from /product/abaya-black to /products/abaya-black with no redirect, collection pages that disappear, Arabic URLs that get flattened, reviews and customer accounts that don't come across, and tracking that silently stops. The result is a traffic drop in the weeks after launch that can take months to recover.

Every NKM migration ships with a complete URL map and 301 redirects, metadata and structured data carried over, and a post-launch Search Console monitoring window.

Platforms we migrate from

FromWhat movesTypical gotchas
WooCommerce / WordPressProducts, variants, customers, orders, blog posts, pagesVariable products, plugin-stored data (ACF, reviews), /product/ URL structure, WPML Arabic URLs
WixProducts, collections, customers, blogLimited exports — some content rebuilt manually; URL structure changes
Magento / Adobe CommerceFull catalogue, customers, orders, CMSConfigurable products, multi-store views, layered-navigation URLs
Salla / ZidProducts, customers, orders via exportArabic-first content and URLs; mapping KSA payment and shipping setups to UAE equivalents
OpenCart / customWhatever the database holdsCustom fields and options need mapping to Shopify metafields

We use Shopify's own Store Migration app where it's enough, and Matrixify or custom scripts where it isn't (orders history, metafields, multi-language content, redirects in bulk).

Our migration process

  1. Audit — crawl the old site, export Search Console and analytics, list every URL that earns traffic or links.
  2. Data mapping — products, variants, options, metafields, customers, orders, reviews, gift cards, blog.
  3. Build — new Shopify theme (or a redesign — see Shopify web design), payments, shipping, apps.
  4. Test migration — full import into a staging store, checked against the source.
  5. Redirect map — every old URL mapped to its best new equivalent, uploaded as 301s.
  6. Cutover — final delta import of new orders and customers, DNS switch, test orders on live payments.
  7. Monitoring — Search Console coverage, 404s and rankings watched for 30 days and fixed as they appear.

WooCommerce to Shopify: should you move?

Move if you're spending more time on plugin updates, hosting and security than on selling; if checkout or speed is costing you conversions; or if you want Tabby, Tamara and UAE gateways without plugin roulette. Stay if your business depends on deep custom WordPress functionality that has no Shopify equivalent — we'll tell you honestly in the audit.

● FAQ

Migration
FAQ.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I migrate to Shopify?

Not if the migration is done properly. Rankings drop when URLs change without 301 redirects or content and metadata are lost. We map every URL, carry over metadata and monitor Search Console after launch.

Can you migrate customer accounts and passwords?

Customer records and order history migrate. Passwords can’t be transferred between platforms for security reasons, so customers get an account-activation email — we set this up as a branded campaign.

How long does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration take?

Typically 3–5 weeks for a standard catalogue and 5–8 weeks with a redesign or bilingual content.

Can you migrate from Salla or Zid to Shopify?

Yes. We export products, customers and orders, rebuild Arabic content and URLs on Shopify, and replace KSA-specific payment and shipping setups with UAE equivalents.

Do you migrate from Shopify to WooCommerce?

No — we only build on Shopify. If Shopify isn’t right for you, we’ll say so before you spend anything.
